We have a new online marketer joining us: welcome Siebe!

We're pleased to introduce our new colleague Siebe to you! Siebe joined our team this month. He will be working as an online marketer, focusing on SEA. Curious about who Siebe is and what he brings to Orange Juice? Then read our blog. 

Tell us a bit more about yourself

I'm Siebe, 26 years old, originally from Lichtenvoorde. I moved to Nijmegen for my communication studies, where I still live happily with my girlfriend. Previously, I worked at a software company where I was responsible for marketing. 

I'm a social person and enjoy talking and collaborating with others. I like to learn new things socially. In my daily life, I'm someone who enjoys being active. I love sports, making music, and doing things together with others. 

Since high school, I've been playing in bands and currently I'm part of a disco band with eight others. Our goal is to rehearse together once a month and we typically have one performance a month. You can also find us at the summer festivals in Nijmegen this year. I also enjoy a good beer and like to attend parties.

Why Orange Juice?

I was job hunting after finishing my previous job. During that time, I had many discussions with companies but nothing concrete was set. Nina, HR advisor at Orange Juice, reached out to me via LinkedIn to see if I was interested in a discussion. During our talk, we discussed what I could bring to Orange Juice. My goal was to advance my career, either in a commercial or process-oriented role. It was a good conversation and I had a positive feeling afterwards. I was immediately enthusiastic. 

At my previous employer, I noticed that I had hit a wall in my development as a specialist, and I hope to make progress here. What I like about Orange Juice is that as marketers, we collaborate with the development team, bringing together different personalities. 

What will you be doing at Orange Juice?

At Orange Juice, I will mainly focus on Google advertising (SEA) in the broadest sense. Additionally, I will explore opportunities to take on more client contact. I find the dynamic aspect of my role very exciting. In my previous job, my expertise lay in SEA and I was responsible for managing accounts for various clients. These were often the initial steps taken for clients. Additionally, I dealt with other online marketing aspects such as SEO, email marketing, and feed marketing. 

During my graduation project, I worked on developing a SEA strategy. I enjoy the data-driven approach and the quick results achieved with Google advertising, tweaking various elements and seeing results within weeks. Optimizing a formula and testing what works really suits me in SEA. 

What are you extremely good at?

I'm social and good at communication. My communication skills are strong, but I also listen well to others. I value team goals highly and prioritize them because we can learn the most from each other.

What makes you happy?

What really makes me happy is good food. I enjoy cooking myself, but also appreciate it when someone else cooks. Additionally, I've been making music since I was young, which is where I can really express myself. However, simply enjoying a beer in the sun at a terrace also brings me joy.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I see myself moving towards a lead role where I am more of a focal point. I'm not there yet, but I think I know what it takes to fulfill such a role. I'm good at strategic thinking and enjoy contributing to the development of other colleagues.
