Good news! We have a new team lead for online marketing. Matthijs started on November 1st, and we are definitely very happy to have him join us! Read the blog to get to know Matthijs better.
My name is Matthijs de Graaff, better known as Mattie at Orange Juice, and I live in the oldest city in the Netherlands: Nijmegen. Online marketing is truly my passion, and even after 10 years in the field, I have not lost my enthusiasm for it.
In my free time, you can usually find me on the football field, where I coach a women's team and play in a men's team. I am very musical and enjoy making music on my keyboard or guitar.
I was looking for a new challenge and started researching online. I quickly came across Orange Juice. I immediately had a good feeling about the organization and its people.
I received a warm welcome, and the company has certain values that align with my own. For me, the atmosphere within the team is important. Everyone here is passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic, which is exactly what I look for in a company.
I try to position myself where I can help other marketers as much as possible. This includes leading the online marketing team, as well as taking on a coaching and mentoring role, which gives me a lot of energy. Improving processes also makes up a large part of my responsibilities.Â
Together with the team, I hope to help Orange Juice grow, expand the team, and explore new possibilities. Ultimately, we aim to develop our soft and hard skills together, and I believe that this is possible at Orange Juice.Â
I am 'extremely' eager to learn. When I’m not at work, you might find me at the library. I regularly purchase online marketing courses, listen to marketing podcasts while exercising, and own many marketing books. I even take these kinds of books with me on vacation. I want to learn everything there is to know about online marketing, even though this might be impossible.
Additionally, I’m good at playing the guitar, although my neighbors might disagree. I’m also skilled at managing processes, bringing structure, and understanding online marketing in-depth. I know a bit about everything in online marketing, which is exactly what I enjoy. I’ve accepted that I can’t be a specialist in everything. There are, of course, experts who know much more about their specialties, but I can discuss any topic, especially SEO and SEA.
In five years, I hope that I have made significant progress with Orange Juice and that we have achieved the company goals set for the next five years. Beyond that, I don’t have a specific idea.
I am happy now, and I hope to still be happy in five years, how that will manifest will be seen in time. I do hope to continue developing myself and keep the momentum I have now.
Hopefully, by then, I will also speak fluent Spanish. 😉
