Tell us a bit more about yourself

My name is Chayenne, and I grew up in Soest. I ended up in Arnhem for my Communication and Multimedia Design studies, where I still happily live with my boyfriend and our cats Moos and Sammy. During my studies, I thought, "Why not apply the knowledge I gain directly into practice?" So, 2.5 years ago, I started my own business in design, content, and social media with a partner. After graduating, I continued solo. I had enjoyable assignments and projects, but I missed having a team of colleagues around me and didn't find full-time freelancing fulfilling anymore. That's when I decided to set my LinkedIn status to 'open to work,' thinking, 'Let's see what interesting opportunities come my way.'

Why work at Orange Juice and what will you be doing?

Among many messages I received, there was an email from Orange Juice. I was immediately enthusiastic because I was already familiar with Orange Juice from my studies; I had attended an informative workshop with them. Back then, I thought, "This could be an organization where I see myself working in the future."

Now the time has come, and I'm indeed joining the company as a content marketer. As the title suggests, I'll be creating content for Orange Juice itself and its clients, in the broadest sense. It's the combination of creativity and strategy that particularly appeals to me in this role.

What are you extremely good at?

That's a difficult question to answer about myself. There's always room for improvement, and I aim to keep developing myself. I tend to think in terms of solutions and opportunities rather than problems. There's (almost) always a way forward, even if it requires a detour.

What makes you happy?

"I really love beautiful content, especially photography. Brands and companies that use strong, professional imagery truly make me happy. However, it's unfortunate that many companies lag behind in content creation, which I find a pity because an image speaks volumes beyond just text.

I also have a great passion for interior design and architecture. I spend a lot of my free time on this interest. When I was younger, I wanted to be an architect or interior designer, but my career took a different path in the end.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hope to still be at Orange Juice in five years, further developing myself in the field of content. At Orange Juice, you have the opportunity to grow in what you truly enjoy. This allows you to discover firsthand what suits you best and what doesn't. It's always a tough question. Ultimately, you never know how life will unfold; a few years ago, I never thought I'd be where I am now.
